Child Poverty In The Americas

This series of data visualization posters examines and contrasts the key factors influencing poverty in the United States and Latin America. While systemic challenges in Latin America have historically made poverty widespread, targeted programs and organizational efforts have successfully cut those levels in half. In contrast, despite being one of the world’s most developed nations, the United States continues to face alarmingly high rates of child poverty—particularly throughout the southern region.

The visual approach blends custom data charts, maps, and iconography with subtle child-like elements, creating a balance between clarity, approachability, and the gravity of the subject matter.
